The verdict was handed down on Friday (September 11) inside a Los Angeles courthouse, and the reactions are still developing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2026-09-11\/los-angeles-federal-jury-reaches-verdict-in-grammy-winning-rapper-lil-durk-murder-for-hire-trial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>\u00a0by the <em>Los Angeles Times<\/em> and several other outlets, Lil Durk, real name Durk Banks, was facing murder-for-hire, conspiracy, and stalking charges as prosecutors brought several witnesses to the stand in front of a federal jury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the report from the Times, Lil Durk, flanked by his legal team, which included Young Thug\u2019s former attorney. Brian Steel, was said to look nervous as the case drew near its close. The report adds that when the verdict was handed in, Durk, dressed in a tan suit, quietly wiped away tears as his family and supporters erupted in cheer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The case centered on Durk\u2019s rivalry with rival rapper Tyquian \u201cQuando Rondo\u201d Bowman, who was alleged to be a target in a scheme to get revenge for the shooting death of Dayvon \u201cKing Von\u201d Bennett. Two men, Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey, carried out the crime, failing to take down Rondo and instead killing the Georgia rapper\u2019s cousin, Saviay\u2019a \u201cLul Pab\u201d Robinson, in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wilson and Lindsey were convicted on charges of conspiracy to commit stalking, stalking using a dangerous weapon, and stalking resulting in death. However, the pair were acquitted on the murder-for-hire charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As seen in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/09\/11\/lil-durk-found-not-guilty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>TMZ<\/em><\/a>\u00a0report, the case was deliberated for three days, with explosive testimony from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopwired.com\/3064974\/lil-durks-dad-on-otf-jam-testifying-this-stuff-make-your-stomach-turn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kacey \u201cOTF Jam\u201d Hester,<\/a>\u00a0who claimed Durk was the mastermind in the plot to exact revenge against Quando Rondo in a planned hit in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The high-profile case attracted the attention of the likes of Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, who took to X to celebrate Durk\u2019s legal outcome.
