Tyla<\/a><\/strong> is finally addressing rumors that she copied Yung Miami\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> song concept.<\/p>\n

Last year, the former City Girls rapper suggested that the Water singer borrowed the idea for her \u201cPut Me In Chanel\u201d record after hearing Miami\u2019s unreleased snippet, \u201cTake Me To Chanel.\u201d In a series of tweets, Yung Miami wrote, \u201cthis girl really ran off with my song and ion know how to feel about it mind you I played this song for this girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

She later made it even more obvious who she was referring to, adding, \u201cTake me to Chanel > Put me in Chanel.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a recent interview, Tyla recalled seeing the tweets and firmly denied ever stealing the concept, explaining that the similarities were purely coincidental.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s funny because\u2026 When I saw [Miami\u2019s] tweet, I was like, \u2018I think this is about me,’\u201d she expressed. \u201cI remember we were in this room\u2026 [Miami] played, like, 20 songs. Months later, [a writer] sent me \u2018Chanel.\u2019 So she already made the vibes and the concept. She\u2019s like, \u2018Do you like this song?\u2019 I was like, \u2018Yeah!\u2019 And it\u2019s so long after. I\u2019m not thinking about that. But I get it, because it\u2019s happened to me before where I felt like, \u2018Damn, I played this for someone. Why does this sound similar to my song?\u2019 That kind of happens. So I get her. But no, that\u2019s weird. I would never do that. Girl, do you think I\u2019m trying to ruin my career?\u201d<\/p>\n

Tyla also made it clear there are no hard feelings, shouting Yung Miami and emphasizing that it was all love despite the misunderstanding.<\/p>\n
