Stewartson then moved to have the lawsuit set aside and have itg dismissed claiming that in his argument that he was never properly served and had no ties to Nevada. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/volokh\/2026\/04\/20\/procedural-twist-in-kash-patels-libel-suit-against-substacker-jim-stewartson-filed-in-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Reason<\/em> reports<\/a> that in April, Chief Judge Andrew Gordon denied both motions in part but ordered both sides to determine whether the court had personal jurisdiction over Stewartson. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stewartson Celebrated His Legal Victory Against Kash Patel On X<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an update on the lawsuit, Stewartson revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that a Nevada judge finally granted a motion to dismiss. Stewartson said the judge wrote, \u201cI do not have personal jurisdiction over Stewartson, so I grant his motion to dismiss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In another post on <a href=\"https:\/\/hiphopwired.com\/3060614\/elon-musk-zanny-minton-beddoes-interview-reactions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elon Musk\u2019s crappy platform,<\/a> Stewartson celebrated his legal win and, in the process, clowned Patel, writing, \u201cI\u2019d like to commend the judge for including \u2018googly-eyed Kremlin b\u2014\u2019 in his ruling.\u201d He also clapped back at a Patel post by writing, \u201cYou were also going after bloggers.
